December CMEA Training

November 9, 2011

CMEA training is next month on December 8 and 9, and although that might sound like a long time away, it’ll be here before you know it. Time seems to go especially quickly this time of year. For those considering signing up for training, we thought this would be a good time to review what goes on in a CMEA training session.

We offer training live or online. Keep in mind when choosing which class you’d like to take that live training sessions are limited to eight people and typically fill up quickly. We usually have no limits on the number of seats available for online training.

Whether you join a session live or online, we cover the same topics. These include:

  • The ethics, rules, and regulations of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)
  • Typical reasons for appraisals
  • The intricate steps involved in conducting an appraisal
  • Locating comparables
  • NEBBI’s exclusive appraiser’s database
  • Engagement and data collection
  • Sample summary appraisal report
  • Written review for CMEA professional certification
  • Equipment brokerage training, forms, and support

NEBB Institute members are encouraged to attend refresher courses when they feel the need, and every five years, NEBB Institute members are required to get recertified by either attending a refresher course or taking a 100-question written test that is reviewed by the NEBBI director and a board of peers.

We hope to see you in December!

The NEBB Institute endorses and strives to observe the highest standards of professional ethics to preserve the public trust inherent in the professional appraisal practice. The Institute provides initial and monthly comprehensive education, ongoing support, and a dynamic international network, and certifies professionals in the art of machinery/equipment appraisal and brokerage.
