The NEBB Institute’s Master Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser Program

June 30, 2011

All Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraisers (CMEAs), who are certified by the NEBB Institute, undergo comprehensive training on the approaches to value, depreciation, value determination, USPAP regulations, and ethics. The CMEA is a professional designation, and the field of certified appraisal is growing rapidly. At the NEBBI, we decided to take the field to the next level by offering a Master Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (MCMEA) designation program.

The MCMEA program is offered to the highest quality CMEA-designated NEBBI members. In order to qualify for the MCMEA program, individuals:

  • Must have been a CMEA and NEBBI member in good standing for a minimum of two years
  • Must have completed at least 15 appraisals
  • Must attend the MCMEA training sessions, which are offered only twice a year
  • Must successfully pass a written test

The MCMEA provides current CMEAs with an additional accreditation to enhance their authority within the field of appraisal. It offers another level professional status and provides an opportunity to work toward an advanced professional designation in the machinery and equipment appraisal field. If you’re a CMEA who is interested in learning more about adding the NEBB Institute’s MCMEA designation to your resumé, please contact us today!

The NEBB Institute endorses and strives to observe the highest standards of professional ethics to preserve the public trust inherent in the professional appraisal practice. The Institute provides initial and monthly comprehensive education, ongoing support, and a dynamic international network, and certifies professionals in the art of machinery/equipment appraisal and brokerage.
