NEBB Profile: Chris Spinelli

From time to time, we use this blog to spotlight a NEBB Institute member and show you what they bring to NEBB, as well as what they get out of it. To continue with these profiles, meet Chris Spinelli, NEBB Institute member and co-owner of Present Value LLC.










Chris Spinelli holds active licenses as a Certified Residential Appraiser in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He’s been involved in residential real estate appraising since 2002, and is approved by the Federal Housing Administration to do appraisals for FHA loans.

Chris is the co-founder of Present Value LLC, an appraisal company that covers all facets of the appraisal industry, including real estate, machinery & equipment, and business valuations.

His affiliations include the NEBB Institute, the Society of Business Analysts (SBA), and the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers. Chris has earned the Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) designation from the NEBB Institute. CMEAs, located throughout the United States and several foreign countries, are used by banks, CPAs, attorneys, and business buyers/sellers to provide accurate financial information regarding machinery and equipment that will stand up to scrutiny.

Chris has used his NEBB Institute training to produce hundreds of machinery and equipment appraisal reports for various industries, including construction, aggregate, oil and gas drilling, specialty manufacturing, maritime, plastics and molding, medical devices and pharmaceutical manufacturing, fitness and exercise, woodworking and metal works, movie and film, sound and technical equipment, laundry, and automotive repair.

The NEBB Institute endorses and strives to observe the highest standards of professional ethics to preserve the public trust inherent in the professional appraisal practice. The Institute provides initial and monthly comprehensive education, ongoing support, and a dynamic international network, and certifies professionals in the art of machinery/equipment appraisal and brokerage.
