NEBB Institute’s Comprehensive CMEA Training

August 26, 2010

In addition to providing ongoing support, a dynamic international network, and certification to professionals in the art of machinery/equipment appraisal and brokerage, part of NEBB Institute’s mission is to provide initial and monthly comprehensive education. And approximately 400 NEBB Institute members coast-to-coast and worldwide have found that the CMEA professional designation increased their bottom-line profitability.

We provide comprehensive machinery and equipment training programs, both live and online. Certified machinery and equipment appraisal (CMEA) training incorporates the art and science of machinery and equipment appraisals. As part of our training, you will have the benefit of networking with other new NEBB Institute members and learning from the director, John Harris. However, we limit our live training sessions to eight people, and we fill up very fast. There are typically no space limitations on the number of seats available for online training.

Our next training will be held on September 16 and 17. Interested in learning more about CMEA training? Click here to receive comprehensive and intensive training materials that will provide you with everything you need to know to get started immediately.

Here’s a brief preview of the CMEA Training Agenda:

  • The ethics, rules, and regulations of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)
  • Typical reasons for appraisals
  • The intricate steps involved in conducting an appraisal
  • Locating comparables
  • NEBB’s exclusive Appraiser’s Database
  • The engagement and data collection
  • Sample Summary Appraisal Report
  • Written review for CMEA professional certification
  • Equipment brokerage training, forms, and support
  • And much, much more!

NEBB members are able to attend refresher courses either online or live whenever they feel the need. Every five years, NEBB members are required to get recertified by either attending a refresher course or taking a 100-question written test that is reviewed by the director and a board of peers.
